zagzook started the way a lot of small things do - as a habit. Making puzzles for the fun of it, one grid at a time, until there were enough to share with more than just myself.

Everything on this site - every puzzle, every book - is made by one person, by hand, one at a time. There's no team behind the curtain and no content mill churning these out. If something feels a little different from the big puzzle sites, that's why.

That same habit turned into a small shelf of sudoku books over on the Store page - the same puzzles, made the same careful way, just in print.

The blog is where the rest of the site lives - notes on how these puzzles get made, plus ongoing serialized fiction for anyone who wants something to read between rounds.
