This policy explains what information Zagzook (zagzook.com) uses and how. In short: Zagzook has no accounts and doesn't ask for your name or email. Your puzzle progress and anything you type into a tool stay in your own browser. We use Google Analytics to count visits, and our advertising partner, Google, uses cookies to show ads, as described below.
Information you give us
None, unless you choose to email us. There are no sign-ups, logins or forms on the site. If you write to contacts@zagzook.com, we use your email address and message only to reply, and we don't share them.
What your browser stores on your device
To remember your games, reading and tools, Zagzook saves small notes in your browser's local storage, on your own device. This information is never sent to us or anyone else; we can't see it.

You can remove all of this at any time by clearing your browser's data for zagzook.com. If you use a different browser or device, your progress won't follow you, because it never leaves the device it was saved on.
Visitor statistics (Google Analytics)
We use Google Analytics to see how many people visit Zagzook and which games and stories they use. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information such as the pages you view, how long you stay, the kind of device and browser you use, and your approximate location (city or country). Your IP address is used to estimate that location and is not stored. We see only combined totals, never who you are.
If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, Google Analytics doesn't set cookies unless you give your consent. Advertising and cookies
Zagzook is free because it shows ads served by Google AdSense.

Amazon Associates
Zagzook is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate, Zagzook earns from qualifying purchases.
Some pages show product boxes marked "Ad" that link to Amazon. Those links carry our Associates ID so Amazon can credit the visit. Product pictures in those boxes load from Amazon's servers. If you click a product you leave Zagzook, and Amazon's privacy notice and cookies apply there. Amazon's reports tell us which products were ordered, never who ordered them.
Our Etsy shop
Some pages show a "From the Zagzook shop" box with Zagzook's own products for sale on Etsy. These are plain links with our own pictures: nothing from Etsy loads on Zagzook. If you click one you leave Zagzook, and Etsy's privacy policy applies there.
Your cookie choice
Visitors from Europe see a short cookie notice with Accept and Reject buttons. Your answer is saved in your browser so we don't ask again. Anyone can change it here at any time:
Information our web host may record
Like almost every website, the company that hosts Zagzook may keep standard server logs, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to keep the site running and secure. We don't use these logs to identify you.
Children
Zagzook is meant for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your choices and rights
We don't sell your personal information, and we don't ask for it: there are no accounts or sign-ups. The only data collected about visits is the Google Analytics and advertising information described above. Depending on where you live, you may have rights over data that ad partners hold. You can manage those through the links in the advertising section above, or contact us with any question.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
