Next due dates
List what you owe: cards, loans, medical bills. The tool works out the order to pay them, the month you'll be debt-free and the interest you'll pay.
Debts
Each card shows today's balance (your last statement or the starting balance, plus this month's estimated interest, minus what you've paid since).

How It Works
What this tool is (and isn't)
This tool helps you plan. It doesn't hold or move money, it isn't connected to your bank, and it isn't financial advice. Interest is estimated monthly; your statements are the real numbers.
The monthly model
Each month, for every debt: interest = balance × APR ÷ 12, rounded to the cent (half up) once. Then that month's payment is taken off. It's an estimate: real cards charge interest daily and statement dates differ, so real balances drift a little. That's why you can type in your statement balance.
A balance you type this month (a new debt, or a statement) already includes this month's interest, so the plan doesn't add interest to that debt again until next month.
Minimum payments
A minimum is either a fixed amount or a percent of the balance after this month's interest (for example 1% plus the interest, or 2%), never less than its floor. A percent minimum is rounded to the cent, half up. When the balance is smaller than the minimum, the payment is just what's left plus that month's interest. In a month whose balance you typed in (from a statement), a “+ interest” minimum adds one month's interest on that balance, as the statement would.
Where the extra money goes
Every debt gets its minimum. The rest of your monthly total goes to the target debt. If the target is paid off part-way through a month, what's left moves to the next target the same month. Avalanche picks the highest rate (it saves the most interest). Snowball picks the smallest balance (the quickest wins). The order is checked again every month, so a promo rate ending can change it.
With Keep my monthly total the same on, your total is set when the plan starts (the minimums then, plus your extra) and only changes when you change it, change the extra, or add or remove a debt. Paid-off debts' minimums roll on to the next one.
Payments and statements
Record each payment you make. When a statement arrives, type its balance: the real number replaces the estimate, and the tool shows how far off the estimate was. The plan is then worked out again from today's balances.
Your data
Everything stays in this browser on this device. Nothing is sent anywhere. Anyone using this browser on this device can open it. Backup files are plain readable text, so store them somewhere private. Changing the currency only changes how amounts are shown; it never converts them. Don't type account or card numbers: the tool doesn't need them.
